Megan has served as the lead provider of in-services to educate families and interdisciplinary teams regarding speech, language and swallowing. Professionally, she has more than 10 years of experience in sub-acute, inpatient and outpatient rehab with both pediatrics and adults. Megan received her Master of Arts from Central Michigan University in Speech and Language Pathology. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband Paul, their super sweet cat Simone, and family and friends. She strives to prioritize building trust with the families that she serves and orients sessions so that children learn through playing and enjoying their time. Katie’s passion is in helping children and their families by providing quality, evidence-based services to help promote and maximize functionality across environments when it comes to communication and feeding. She also has extensive experience in working with children with autism spectrum disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, motor speech and phonological disorders, and fluency disorders. Katie has participated in formal continued education in the areas of dysphagia and feeding disorders. With over 7 years of practice in the field, she has experience treating both children and adults of all ages. She has professional experience working as a part of multidisciplinary teams in outpatient hospital clinics, inpatient rehabilitation centers, private practice clinics, and elementary schools. Katie received her Masters of Arts from Eastern Michigan University. Katie Schrems, MA, CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist Her goal in her career is to be able to provide quality and evidence based intervention to families and support other Speech-Language Pathologists in being able to do the same. She loves her family and anything outdoors including kayaking, gardening, boating, hiking, camping, and walking her dog. Sarah is married to Matthew Goebel, and they have one fur baby, Gus. Additional areas of interest include vocal cord dysfunction, tongue ties, lactation, normal language development, clinical education, family/caregiver involvement, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary coordination of care. Her post graduate training has been focused on infant feeding, dysphagia, feeding aversions, motor speech disorders, and cleft palate/craniofacial differences. Sarah is also a part time clinical educator with Wayne State University’s Pediatric Team for aversive eaters and dysphagia and part time professor for undergraduate Normal Language Acquisition and Use. Sarah is the Director/Owner and Lead Speech-Language Pathologist of Speech Unbound. She has served as the Senior Speech-Language Pathologist for the surgical department at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and helped to develop the Pediatric Aerodigestive Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Her clinical experiences have included inpatient rehabilitation centers, community foster care homes, private practice clinics, inpatient hospital centers, and outpatient hospital clinics.
